Biosecurity Division:

Ceva Polchem is widely regarded as a pioneering company, offering a range of unique disinfectants and allied chemicals to the Indian poultry industry. Its expertise lies in handling and formulating various chemistries - ranging from hypochlorites, iodine, aldehydes and quats of all generations, peroxygen compounds and chlorine releasers to guanides and biguanides. The company’s disinfectant plant has been approved by Indian FDA for GMP certification.

Application specific formulations are a strength of Polchem through its R&D efforts. Polchem offers a range of biosecurity products for use in all aspects of the poultry and livestock production. Also, hygiene products for dairy processing, meat & fish processing, aquaculture and hospitality segments have also been developed.  The installed capacity, currently 200 MT per month, is set to double.

Biotechnology Division:

A state-of-the-art facility to produce probiotics and enzymes through solid state fermentation (SSF) as poultry and cattle feed supplements has been established with installed capacity of 50 MT per month. Bacterial probiotic cultures of Lactobacilli, Bifidobacteria, Streptococci and Bacilli are produced as animal feed supplements.

Polchem manufactures a novel bio-emulsifier, Liposorb. This employs enzymatic conversion of soy lecithin into lyso-lecithin that has been accepted well in the market. In addition, Ceva Polchem manufactures a liver tonic, growth promoters, toxin binders, multi-blend enzymes and acidifiers to cater to the needs of the industry.

Miscellaneous Products:

Keeping in line with the theme of biosecurity Polchem developed some innovative products based on biodegradable chemicals and bacterial consortia to keep the farm environment clean. Also products to aid effective vaccination of birds and provide early nutrition to day old chicks in transit have been developed by Polchem's R&D team.

Technical Services:

As a part of its customer back-up, Ceva Polchem provides laboratory services to key customers pertaining to isolation and identification of pathogens, feed and water microbiology, hygiene monitoring of hatcheries, farms, feed mills and meat/milk processing plants.

Ceva Polchem represents Biochek, U.K. for poultry diagnostic kits (ELISA test) in India and also gives a valuable immuno-profiling service to clients of poultry flocks through its own laboratory. This service helps identify correct vaccination schedules and provides early warning of disease outbreaks among poultry.

The Food Microbiology laboratory of Ceva Polchem has acquired ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation for checking microbial load in variety of food samples like dairy, meat, chicken and fish.
